Annual reports: state publication, 1937-[ongoing].

This series consists of the annual reports 1937 to present, of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. It is the duty of the Board during the month of October of each year to make a report to the governor concerning the administration of this agency. The annual report is a description of the duties of the ABC Board, and includes a balance sheet and a statement of revenues and expenses and profit and loss. In addition, the annual reports discuss activities regarding enforcement of laws regarding the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages. Most of the annual reports list the state stores, detail merchandise activity, and report other statistical information such as consumption statistics, and stock disposed of. Of special interest is a history of the origin of the ABC Board in the first annual report.
